Auto-provisioning is the process of configuring the settings and firmware of phone or device that connects to the Voxhub network.

This is an essential feature for a phone because it enables us to ensure every setting is correct and that the firmware is up to date especially for all important security fixes.

We can also release new features as part of the auto-provisioning feature. Our Hotdesking feature requires auto-provisioning to be able to switch settings for each user automatically and other features such as multi-data centre redundancy require us to be able to make changes to phones. Our software can update labels and preferences across whole sets of your phones with a click of a button. Plus we can roll out new features such as call encryption and HD voice with settings changes on a phone.

Auto-provisioning also saves the cost and hassle of maintenance. We can upgrade all the phones on our network whenever we need to and customers do not need to be involved. Without it we would have no efficient way to upgrade phones and the process would be manual, a task few would want to do!
